ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF PAYROLL

ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Associate Director of Payroll.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position assists the Director of Payroll in managing payroll functions for all college district operations. Responsible for the computation of payroll deductions and withholdings, preparation of required federal and state reports and determining that proper controls are established and followed. This position also provides guidance to faculty and staff on the application of regulations, policies, and procedures for payroll. The Associate Director of Payroll collaborates and maintains effective working relationships with campus departments, faculty, staff, and students district-wide. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality, independent judgement, and the ability to problem-solve.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is required.
2. A minimum of three years direct payroll experience is required; experience in an educational environment preferred.
3. Prior supervisory experience required.
4. Prior ERP system experience required; PeopleSoft experience preferred.
5. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.
SALARY: Salary Grade 4 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $63,750 to $79,700.
