ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Benefits and Leave Administration Specialist, ATS.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position involves work of an administrative and technical nature requiring knowledge of human resource management practices, state and federal regulations, and benefits and leave administration for the Alternative Transportation System (ATS) operation. This position serves as a liaison with benefits vendors and provides appropriate monitoring, facilitation, analysis, reporting, and support for benefit plans, including assistance with benefit enrollment activities for the ATS operation. On call in case of accidents/emergencies. May be required to work varied hours as necessary. Ability to work under limited supervision and the use of sound judgment is required. This position is contingent upon external funds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field discipline is required.
2. Five (5) years' experience administering employee benefits and leave management is required. Experience in the transportation field preferred.
3. Proficient computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required.
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to work positively and professionally with others required.
5. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.
SALARY: Salary Grade 3 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $52,150 to $65,200 per year.
