ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Systems Analyst/Programmer.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position uses the System Development Life Cycle process that includes: project definition, systems analysis, systems design, programming and documentation, system testing, system implementation, and system maintenance. This position requires a medium level of experience in systems analysis and programming, system implementation, data base access, hardware and software configurations, client/server systems, and web-based systems. Must have the ability to define project tasks, set target dates for completion, and complete tasks on time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or Business Administration is required.
2. Three years’ experience as systems analyst/programmer preferred.
3. Experience in SQL Server or relational database preferred.
4. Strong SQL skills preferred.
5. Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills preferred.
6. Good analytical and diagnostic skills preferred.
7. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.
SALARY: Salary Grade 4 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $63,750 to $79,700 per year.
