What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Start Classroom Teacher - TEMPORARY SUBSTITUTE - PIPESTONE CENTER position at Southwestern Minnesota Opportunity Council, Inc.?
Head Start is looking for a temporary substitute classroom teacher at our Pipestone Center for approximately 6 weeks (January - March). May be needed intermittently thereafter.
This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the teaching of safety, health, dental, nutrition, self-help, self-esteem, social, language, literacy, problem solving, cognitive, and motor skills of children in the classroom; implementing curriculum based on the needs and interests of Head Start families and children; working with Head Start staff to assure planning, organization, curriculum, Performance Standards, MN DHS Rule 3, and best practices in early childhood care and education.
Minimum educational requirement is an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Starting hourly wage is $20.16 for a 2-year degree and $21.37 for a 4-year degree.
