SMOC, a non-profit organization is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Classroom Assistant Teacher in Worthington, MN to work in the Head Start program.
Engages in mutually respectful goal-oriented partnerships with families to promote parent-child relationships and family well-being; respects and responds appropriately to culture, language, values, and family structures of each family served; supports families' safety, health, financial stability, life goals, and aspirations; enhances parent-child relationships and supports parents' role as the first and life long educators of their children; supports families in using community resources that enhance family well-being and children's learning and development. In addition, responsible for riding to and from the center, assisting the driver, and adhering to transportation guidelines.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bilingual skills are not required but preferred. Ability to work with 3-5 year-old children. Ability to take directions from supervisor. Ability to lift and carry supplies. Confidentiality.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Child Development Associate credentials. Or, willingness to obtain credentials, minimum.
Starting hourly rate $18.84
