Description of Job Duties :
The Department of Creative Media and Visual Arts at SWOSU seeks qualified individuals to serve as a full-time, continuing Instructor or tenure-track Assistant Professor of Art Education. Teaching responsibilities include : art education courses, art studio courses and general education courses such as Art Survey. The instructor will also provide mentorship and support to students, fostering their growth as designers and preparing them for successful careers in the field. The candidate will supervise the BA and M.Ed. in Art Education and will be expected to work collectively with area high school teachers. The candidate must be familiar with current accreditation standards, assessment and reporting as the position is also the CAEP Coordinator.
Active participation in professional organizations, professional development and collaboration with community outreach is expected. The candidate will also supervise teacher candidates in Art Education.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :

- Participating in early grade alert systems and assessing student outcomes
