The Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for assisting in the preparation, dispensing and delivery of medications to the patients of Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
Qualifications
Registered Technicians:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have a high school or equivalent diploma, or be working to achieve a high school or equivalent diploma
- 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is required within 9 months from date of hire.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.
Certified Technicians:
- Associates degree in a health or related field, (with 1 year of pharmacy experience) or the equivalent in education and experience preferred.

Requirements: Registered Technicians: - Registered Pharmacy Technician with the VT Board of Pharmacy required. BLS Certification required for Pharmacy Technicians if required to administer immunizations
