Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Partnership
Work directly with the founders and executive team to set and execute the vision for our People Team. Be a thought partner on business strategy, bringing the people perspective into the conversation at the highest levels.
Develop and implement people strategies that align with the organization's growth ambitions, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee experience, and succession planning.
Lead, inspire, and empower the People Team to provide top-tier service to the organization, while promoting a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented culture.
Champion the company's values by ensuring that people-related policies, practices, and initiatives reflect the organization's mission and foster a culture of high performance, trust, and collaboration.
Oversee the Talent Acquisition function to ensure a smooth, efficient, and compliant recruiting process that attracts and retains exceptional talent across all levels of the organization.
Partner with senior leaders to identify opportunities for coaching, leadership development, and employee growth, ensuring a strong pipeline of future leaders within the organization.
Design and implement performance management tools and processes that reinforce the company's vision, mission, and values. Ensure that feedback and development are central to the employee experience.
Collaborate with the CFO to evaluate and enhance compensation strategies to remain competitive, ensuring that they support retention and align with business objectives.
Lead employee relations efforts, ensuring a fair, consistent, and values-driven approach to addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in line with employment laws.
Ensure that the organization remains compliant with all federal, state, and local employment laws, while proactively addressing evolving legal and regulatory changes.
Utilize data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of HR programs, reporting on key metrics like turnover, employee engagement, and time-to-hire to continually refine people strategies.
Collaborate with other departments to create a seamless and meaningful onboarding experience for new employees, ensuring they feel welcome, supported, and aligned with the company's culture from day one.
Oversee the effective utilization of HRIS systems to ensure efficient, data-driven decision-making across all aspects of people operations.
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that encourages employee engagement, retention, and a sense of belonging.
Required Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Proven track record of leadership experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Deep understanding of human resources best practices, with a strong emphasis on employee engagement, talent development, and organizational culture.
Demonstrated ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with senior leadership, managers, and employees at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to drive organizational change and manage complex, cross-functional HR initiatives in an evolving business environment.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks related to HR practices.
Comfortable with modern HR technology, including HRIS systems, and experienced in using data to drive decision-making and improve HR processes.
Ability to work with a diverse, global workforce and understand the cultural nuances that influence employee engagement, development, and retention.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required. A degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field is highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and compliance.
PHR, SPHR, or SHRM CP / SCP certifications are highly desirable.
