Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Veterinary Kennel Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized kennel environment, providing excellent customer service to both clients and staff, and assisting in various aspects of veterinary care. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with animals, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly kennel area, ensuring the well-being of all animals.
- Assist in restraining animals during veterinary procedures and exams.
- Provide regular feeding, walking, and general care for animals in the clinic.
- Keep accurate records of animal care, feeding schedules, and other relevant details.
- Communicate effectively with clients, teammates, and Veterinarians, providing updates on animal care and addressing concerns.
- Assist in any other tasks as directed by the veterinary team to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in veterinary care is a plus, but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and handle the physical demands of the role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Passion for working with animals and helping them lead healthy, comfortable lives.
