Cash Application Specialist - Southwoods Executive Centre
Southwoods Health is hiring a Cash Application Specialist to work in our main office in Boardman the Southwoods Executive Centre. The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for posting all insurance and patient payments and adjustments accurately and in a timely manner to ensure the accounts receivable is properly reflected. Assists in the daily and monthly cash balancing processes.
Essential Duties:
Southwoods Health is hiring a Cash Application Specialist to work in our main office in Boardman the Southwoods Executive Centre. The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for posting all insurance and patient payments and adjustments accurately and in a timely manner to ensure the accounts receivable is properly reflected. Assists in the daily and monthly cash balancing processes.
Essential Duties:
- Checks accuracy of payments from insurance company.
- Accurately posts insurance and payment payments and adjustments.
- Notes contact with insurance companies or patients in EMR.
- If it is determined that a refund is due to the insurance company, completes refund-request form with supporting documentation, copy of EOB, etc., and submits to business office manager.
- Preparation of daily bank deposit.
- Review daily payments for accuracy of depositing.
- Identify billing errors, such as needed changes in procedures or policies and reports to business manager for correction of such.
- Ensure all processes at responsible physician practice maintains compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Training or courses in business office activities, computer skills, and medical terminology.
- Effective communication skills, ability to problem solve.
- Maintain professional demeanor at all times, strong ethical and moral principles.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem solving and critical thinking.
Full-time. Monday-Friday dayshift.
