Medical Assistant - Express Care
Southwoods Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Express Care in Campbell, Ohio. The Medical Assistant will work with his / her team and partners with the physician and / or other health care professionals to evaluate and provide direction to comprehensive, quality patient care. Is trained and responsible for performing a wide range of skilled administrative and clinical duties.
Essential Duties :
- Create a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment for patients and visitors through exceptional customer service.
- Rooms patients in a timely manner utilizing two patient identifiers.
- Obtain and record vital signs, major complaint, medications and allergies in patient chart
- Collect various specimens by following proper specimen collection, storing and recording protocols
- Prepare lab specimen in timely manner for transport to hospital lab by maintaining positive specimen identification throughout processing
- Report and record patient critical lab values, adverse reactions, and pertinent information promptly to physician and team members
- Able to schedule appointments, answer phones, filing, maintain medical records, and other administrative duties as assigned
- Recognizes patients' rights and responsibilities and supports them in performance of job duties
- Ensure all processes at responsible physician practice maintains compliance with all regulatory agencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Full-time. (2) 12 hour shifts, (1) 10 hour shift, (1) 6 hour shift. Every other weekend.
