**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN), Medical/Surgical, Charge, Nights (7p-7a)
$20,000 Sign-on Bonus Eligible
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to supervise and mentor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.
The successful candidate will determine staffing levels and assignments based on staff availability, skills, patient acuity, and work/patient flow.
Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, floating between staff to assist with problem-solving, and taking patient assignments as needed.
The ideal candidate will evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, identify areas for improvement, and respond to complaints in a professional manner.
In addition, the RN will perform role-specific duties, such as entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers.
They will also ensure that staff have necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.
The successful candidate will integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols and create an environment that encourages professional growth.

Requirements:
A registered nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing is required.
Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred, but not necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently.
