Description:
As a Registered Nurse in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with diverse medical needs. This role requires current RN licensure, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform clinical treatments as needed.
- Document patient care provided and monitor patient conditions.
- Communicate patient status to the care team, physician, patient, and family as necessary.
Collaboration and Education:
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State
- AHA BLS certification required
- Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
