Title: Electrical Test Engineer
Location: Mossville, IL
100% on site
The role involves the development and validation of electrical conversion systems for the Electrification and Energy Solutions Division. The primary focus will be on testing and validating Bi-Directional Power Inverters (BDP), BEV chargers, DC converters, and related electrical and electronics system integration.
Project Objectives:
- Design and develop electrical conversion systems with a team of power conversion specialists and electrical and mechanical engineers.
- Validate charger and power inverter components.
- Generate detailed test reports and test plans.
- Collaborate with design and validation teams within CAT's electrification teams.
- Engage in both lab testing and office-based design work.
Key Responsibilities:

Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Experience with power inverters/converters.
- Knowledge of power electronics/high voltage systems.
- Lab test experience, including proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Understanding of electrical circuits.
- Educational background: AS, BS, or MS degree in a relevant field.
