- Provides emergency assistance as needed, which may include intervening in serious complex matters.
- May attend offsite activities as applicable, including attending offsite security training.
- Develop applications of policies and procedures using independent judgement, identifies and recommends changes to processes, policies, and procedures to better expedite departmental processes.
- May attend emergency medical training.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education: High school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license at time of employment in this position.
- Be State Board Certified to carry a firearm or have completed the Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) course. May be required to qualify annually with a firearm.
- Ability to prepare reports on activities and security incidents.
- Ability to provide crowd and traffic control at special events.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Perform basic mathematical computations needed to complete assignments.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize job duties to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in the use of standard office equipment and networked personal computers.
- Proficiency in a variety of software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain interpersonal professional working relationships at all levels – students, peers, and Executives.
