Located in the heart of Dubai, but operating in a fully remote model, our client is a dynamic enterprise specialized in Software Development and Infrastructure Management.
We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic Lead Software Development Engineer in test to join our client's innovative team.
What your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive testing strategy with a strong focus on automation for systems in the designated area of responsibility
- Aiming for fully automated releases as the ultimate goal
- Building and maintaining a diverse testing environment that encompasses functional, integration, performance, contract, and security testing across various platforms
- Overseeing daily operations, performance reviews, and continuous improvement of the quality team
- Coordinating the resolution of bugs reported by clients and internal teams, and consistently refining testing practices
- Prototyping new tools, libraries, and approaches, while sharing knowledge with the team
- Applying engineering best practices in testing code and processes
- Actively contributing to the development of test infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and automated tests
- Recruiting, onboarding, and managing a team of senior individual contributors
Qualifications:
- Strong technical expertise in developing and implementing efficient automated testing strategies
- Fluency in English and Russian at least at level C1
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in test automation, preferably with Java, TypeScript, or Kotlin
- At least 2 years of experience in a QA / SDET Lead role with 3 or more direct reports
- Essential ability to write clean and maintainable code
- Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies, strategies, and processes
- Solid understanding and hands-on expertise in performance testing
- Thorough understanding of good engineering practices
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Passionate about ensuring rock-solid products
- Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude
- Great attention to detail
- Experience with microservices, their orchestration, and message streaming (Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, NATS)
- Experience in developing tests for gRPC API
- Hands-on experience with Go is a plus
- Experience with load testing tools like Gatling or K6 is a plus
