Job Description:
We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Seasonal Part-Time Team Member who will play an essential role in assisting customers, creating sales orders, coordinating deliveries, and supporting logistics. This position will also involve picking up materials from other vendors or fabricators. The ideal candidate will be motivated to learn about natural stone and be enthusiastic about providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Sales:
- Assist customers in the showroom by providing expert guidance on marble, travertine, and other natural stone products.
- Create and process sales orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide information and recommendations to help customers choose the right materials for their projects.
- Engage with customers in both English and Spanish to ensure clear communication and a positive experience.
- Order & Delivery Coordination:
- Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to manage product availability and coordinate timely deliveries.
- Communicate delivery schedules and updates to customers.
- Assist in managing and tracking the progress of customer orders.
- Logistics & Material Pickup:
- Coordinate and assist in picking up materials from vendors, fabricators, or other locations as needed.
- Ensure all materials are properly inspected, accounted for, and safely transported.
- Product Knowledge & Education:
- Learn about the different types of natural stone products offered by the company, including marble, travertine, and others.
- Educate customers about the features and benefits of our products.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative support, including data entry, filing, and assisting with inventory management.
- Provide support to sales team, including taking photos of inventory or assisting with product/inventory information
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (both spoken and written) is required.
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or the stone industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use order management systems.
- Familiarity with the Sage 50 program (preferred but not necessary).
- Willingness to learn about natural stone products and applications.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time, seasonal position (hours and schedule to be determined based on business needs).
- Flexibility to work Saturdays as needed.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
