What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at Soyumi Asian Kitchen?
A cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food in a dine in restaurant. Cooks are responsible for working with Front of House staff to ensure orders are made correctly. Cooks are also responsible for maintaining a clean kitchen in the restaurant.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the kitchen.
• Food preparation (e.g. cooking sides, preparing sauces, etc.)
• Comply with health code
• Operate various kitchen appliances such as grill, stove, soup heater
• Communicating with coworkers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Maintain a professional and cooperative approach with employees
• Clean work station before the end of your shift
