Job Summary:
Sozo is currently seeking an Assistant Manager responsible for supporting and working with the Manager on overseeing daily operations, staff training & support, and sales support. The ideal candidate acts with integrity and enthusiasm, has experience in a mid-level management role, and has excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Consistently deliver the Sozo brand experience and embody the values of the company, including a culture of compliance and excellent service.
- Demonstrate proficiency in state/local laws/regulations related to marihuana sales locations
- Works one on one with the Manager to create a collaborative working environment between management and the sales team
- Assists the Manager in overseeing the team and daily operations at the marihuana sales location
- Completes daily tasks set forth by the Manager and identified in Standard Operating Procedures. Tasks include but not limited to: cash handling, verifying paperwork for sales, patients, transfers, etc., approve and verify daily deliveries, handle software or POS malfunctions, report any sales team issues, and any other tasks the Manager and Corporate Staff deem appropriate to the role
- Report and record any Marihuana sales location Team issues that require discipline, or any compliance issues that may arise to the Manager and Corporate Team
- Train and inspire staff to deliver the patients an exceptional customer experience
- Support the training of staff on medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and consumption methods. Support the educating of staff on the rules and regulations of the industry, specifically, what is prohibited in their role as a marihuana sales location team member
- Encourage and lead Team to meet sales goals as set forth by the Corporate Staff
- Ability to serve as neighborhood and community liaison when Manager and/or Corporate Staff are not available
- Vast knowledge of products Sozo sells and produces along with other industry products
- Ability to diffuse situations that may arise if the marihuana sales location manager is not present
- Comply with all HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure
- Share in the success of the Team, the sales location, including management of cash and inventory
- Adhere to and create a culture of compliance for security protocols opening and closing the facility
- Participation outside of the posted schedule may be required (e.g., meetings, emergencies, deliveries)
- Serve as an example of responsibility, punctuality, and work ethic for other employees
- Attend trade shows, expos, and other industry events when possible for the purpose of evaluating the potential benefits of new technology, products, services, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related experience preferred
- 3 years of retail experience, cannabis marihuana sales location experience preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Possess valid driver’s license or state ID
- Must pass all background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
- Strong math skills
- Ability to use standard office equipment, Microsoft Office applications, computer software, and a quick understanding of the METRC tracking system
- Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 35 pounds (100 pounds with assistance). This job may require walking or standing for long periods of time along with lifting, bending over, and crouching
- Have a flexible schedule and be able to cover shifts in the event of a staffing deficit
