Job Title: Business Development Manager – Government & Defense

Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will focus on the Government & Defense sector, driving growth through existing and new customers, sales channel management, and strategic expansion. The role will involve identifying new business opportunities, working closely with various internal teams (Sales, Product Development, Marketing), and contributing to the development of a sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage relationships with key accounts and prospects.
- Drive sales growth, manage the full sales cycle, and assess market conditions.
- Identify strategic opportunities for new products, materials, and services aligned with the company’s goals.
- Represent the customer’s needs and translate them into solutions.
- Build relationships with government agencies, defense offices, and commercial partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business (MBA preferred).
- At least 4 years of experience in industrial materials sales, particularly in the Government & Defense sector (preferably with US Armed Forces).
- Experience in the polymer, technical textile, or coated fabrics industry is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proven track record in driving sales from prospecting to closing deals.
Travel Requirements:
- 40%-50% travel required, preferably based on the East Coast or Midwest.
