Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of ocean freight operations, including container scheduling, customs compliance, and vendor relationships.
- Domestic Shipping Operations: Manage all aspects of Less-than-Truckload (LTL) and parcel shipments, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the logistics team, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve operational goals.
- System Optimization: Utilize and optimize NetSuite and ShipStation to manage order processing, inventory control, and shipment tracking.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, brokers, and shipping providers to negotiate competitive rates and improve service levels.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all international and domestic shipping regulations, including import/export documentation and safety standards.
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, and provide actionable insights to improve logistics efficiency.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve logistical challenges proactively to minimize disruptions.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with specific expertise in ocean freight, LTL, and parcel shipments.
- Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite and ShipStation is required.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading teams and driving operational excellence.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and make informed decisions to optimize operations.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration and vendor negotiations. Must be fluent in English.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international and domestic shipping regulations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
