Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing workflow, providing technical expertise, and overseeing design engineering, electrical engineering, controls, research and development, and quoting.
Responsibilities
- Manage workflow coming into and out of the Engineering department.
- Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for Quality, Operations, and Sales.
- Provide direction and oversight to technical support to solve complex problems.
- Manage time, activities, and quality of work for direct employees.
- Lead new product development and R&D.
- Bring process improvements and execute them sustainably.
- Plan resources and staff for applicable areas.
- Act as a working manager when necessary.
- Create structure, systems, and processes for consistency and quality.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Lead all aspects of applications and quoting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum).
- Professional Engineer License preferred.
- 5 years' experience designing machinery.
- Leadership experience leading small teams and projects.
- Direct knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes.
- Experience developing comprehensive design packages.
- Parametric 3D CAD software experience, SolidWorks preferred.
- Microsoft Suite proficiency.
