Security Officer Overnight

Security Officer Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Professional Security Officer.

You Must be a Professionally Conducted, Serious & Duty Bound for this position with growth potential.

Prior military and or retired law enforcement preferred. Must have at least 3 years verifiable security work experience with real references with real contact information. References will be contacted if considered for a position. Must pass a drug screening. Must be hygienic, clean, neat, organized and well groomed at all times while on duty. Must be well spoken and able to communicate clearly in English. Must be willing and available to work weekends. Must be punctual and ready for duty. NO SCREEN TIME on personal devices will be tolerated while on duty and will result in immediate termination of employment.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' staff, clientele, and premises. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in law enforcement & security. Investigations and military tactical training are a plus with a keen eye for detail and excellent judgment. This is an outdoor/indoor post at a beautiful campus with wonderful people that requires a high level of professionalism, observation skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities:

. MUST STAY AWAKE ON OVERNIGHT SHIFT AND SCAN/REPORT IN EVERY HOUR WHILE ON DUTY

· Safeguard the premises, personnel, and assets of our clients through proactive security measures.

· Conduct regular patrols and inspections of assigned areas, ensuring compliance with security procedures and protocols.

· Monitor surveillance cameras to detect and respond to security threats and breaches if needed.

· Investigate and report any suspicious activities, incidents, or violations to the appropriate authorities.

· Generate accurate and detailed incident reports if warranted.

· Assist with access control, verifying the identity and credentials of individuals entering or exiting premises.

· Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in law enforcement, security and investigations.

· Must possess a valid NYS Security Officer License.

.Must possess a valid Driver License

.Must have a reliable vehicle.

· Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.

· Strong physical fitness and endurance.

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time outdoors.

· Periodic warm ups and cool downs will be permitted.

· Tactical Security Uniform must be worn at all on duty times.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Must be able to be focused and ignore distraction.

· Must be able to refrain from the use of your cell phone while on duty.

· Device screen-time will NOT be tolerated while on duty.

· High level of integrity and trustworthiness.

· Detail-oriented with excellent observation skills.

· Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

· Possession of a valid driver's license is required.

· First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour to start.

Expected hours: Full time 40 hours per week / Part time 20 hours per week
