What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Attendant position at SPA AT OLD EDWARDS INN LLC?
The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining pool areas, ensuring guests comfort level and completing daily assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet each guest in a warm, welcoming and genuine manner. Use guests name appropriately.
- Be friendly, helpful and smile; be courteous to all clients, guests and co-workers; and be professional.
- Have complete knowledge of all spa menu items, packages, group functions and special promotions.
- Adhere to all Old Edwards Inn and Spa departmental policies and procedures.
- Present a well-groomed, professional appearance. You must be in full uniform while on property or at a work-related event.
- Be punctual and prepared for your day. Adhere to posted schedule and make any schedule requests in writing to the Spa Director at least two weeks in advance.
- Participate in all spa and fitness activities including staff meetings, educational events, workshops, inventory or promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of pool deck and surrounding areas.
- Appropriately check on guests to ensure they are having a great experience. Assist them as needed with equipment, umbrellas, chairs, towels, etc.
- Assist the pool cabana bartender, as needed, with delivering food and beverages to seated guests.
- Keep water dispensers filled, plenty of towels folded, and sunscreen stocked.
- Remove used towels from chairs and replace with clean towels. Assist with collection and drop off of laundry.
- Monitor sign-in sheets, ensuring all Guests and Members are appropriately accounted for.
- Previous experience in a hospitality or spa related role is preferred but not required.
- Must be bright, personable and have the ability to get along with others. Should be highly service oriented, posses exemplary telephone skills and be well organized and self-motivated. Should be able to understand the Old Edwards Inn and Spa objectives and have the potential to achieve employee and departmental goals.
- Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time, life and/or move up to 25 pounds on a regular basis, and as much as 40 pounds with less frequency, as well as walk on a regular basis, talk, see and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to kneel, crouch or bend.
- The work environment described is characteristic of what an employee should encounter while performing the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee frequently engages in interpersonal exchanges with guests, with in person or over the phone. - Duties for this position are performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, during all four seasons. Employees will likely be exposed to different elements during their work shift including: heat, cold, rain, etc.
