Position Summary
Responsible for performing patrols of the properties on foot or in a vehicle. Conducting security checks of buildings to ensure doors are locked. Respond to emergencies, suspicious activity and notify law enforcement when appropriate. Check the validity of building alarms. Assist guest/employees when needed. Respond to accidents/safety hazards and complete initial investigation. Prevent any un-authorized access to the properties.
Essential Functions
- Perform patrols on foot or in a vehicle
- Check buildings for safety/security
- Prevent un-authorized persons/vehicles from entering the property
- Record vehicle license plates and names of persons entering the property
- Respond to alarms/distress calls and determine the appropriate course of action
- Complete daily activity reports and submit to safety manager
- Assist guests/employees when needed
- Report/correct any safety hazards
Qualifications
Position Qualifications
Education/Certification: HS Diploma/GED and must possess a valid California Driver License.
Knowledge: Basic security procedures.
Experience: Prior law enforcement, military or security guard experience a plus.
Skills/Abilities: Active listening skills, ability to assess and evaluate situations quickly, respond quickly to emergencies and take appropriate action as needed. Attention to detail, remain calm under pressure, effective oral and written communication skills. Must be proficient in the use of a computer and possess basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and operating basic office equipment.
Additional Information: If hired, you must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a background check, drug screening test and driving record check. You are required to cover all visible tattoos and you are not permitted to wear any facial piercing or ear gauges during assigned working hours. Uniform shirts and pants will be provided.
Must have the ability to demonstrate and promote a strong commitment by providing a safe and secure environment for guests and employees. Punctuality is a must.
Available to weekdays and weekends
Scheduled hours : Friday -Sunday 4pm - 12:30pm
Salary : $17 - $19
