What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Recruitment Specialist - Hybrid Position position at Spa Tech Institute?
Spa School Admissions Officer: Hybrid Position
If you love people and believe that education and holistic health are the best investment that anyone can make in themselves, we would love to work with you.
We are looking for a dynamic and outgoing sales professional who loves to interview prospective students to discover if a career in massage therapy or aesthetics is a good career path for them and to determine if the person has the maturity and determination to learn in a hybrid education environment and be a successful professional.
Additionally, being excellent at documenting your interactions, scheduling effective follow up meetings, and assisting the person to overcome obstacles to moving forward with their career are essential skills.
This hybrid position would also include going to college fairs at area schools and outreach to guidance counselors and others to share what the school does and to develop new relationships with educational influencers.
A typical week involves a mix of doing online interviews and meeting with prospective students at the campus. Also, developing high school guidance and career development center contacts and doing school fairs throughout the year is an important and fun part of the job.
You will be the primary admissions officer for the school in North Andover and will work closely with the virtual admissions officer team in developing your online interview and follow up skills as well as meeting with the local campus director when meeting students at the campus.
The prospective students are often referred to the school by graduates and employers or are responding from our website. We do not buy leads or cold call lists but only respond to people who have already expressed an interest in our programs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the admissions team to develop and implement online interview skills
- Conduct outreach activities to attract prospective students, including attending college fairs and high school visits
- Review applications and evaluate candidates based on established admission criteria
- Conduct interviews with prospective students to assess their fit for our institution
- Provide accurate and timely information about our programs and admission information to prospective students that meets all compliance requirements
- Assist students with the application process, including guiding them through the necessary paperwork
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in admissions
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal spoken and written skills
- Highly organized with great time management skills
- Excellent online interviewing skills (ability to share screen, share links and have a dedicated attractive space without distraction or background noise for online meetings)
- High level of writing, texting, email, calendar, spreadsheet and phone skills
- Ability to work from home and provide a professional online experience
If you are passionate about education, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join our highly motivated team and make a difference in the lives of future students!
Please send us your resume with a cover letter stating why you are excited about the opportunity and I will get back to you to set up a time to meet.
Thank you.
