Required :
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and retain a DHS Suitability and / or CBP Background Investigation.
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience providing acquisition management and systems engineering expertise in a Federal consulting environment (preferably at a DHS Component).
- Possess understanding of the DHS or DoD SELC and DHS Management Directive 102-01, DoD 5000, and Federal Acquisition Institute guidelines and acquisition support for complex system acquisitions.
- At least 3 years of industry experience in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and / or Digital Engineering supporting acquisitions.

Salary transparency pay range for the Washington DC area : $130k-$175k.
Responsibilities
The candidate will provide expertise and technical assistance across systems engineering and acquisition lifecycles for all acquisition program levels including planning, coordinating, and implementing a Digital Engineering ecosystem for CBP. They will assist the development, oversight, and execution of strategies to support the transition to Digital Engineering (DE) and Modeling and Simulation (M&S) in acquisitions. The candidate will participate in project teams to assist in the analysis of the performance of DHS programs and systems; conduct data collection and specification reviews; and develop and maintain system-of-systems models using commercial and proprietary MBSE tools.
The candidate will support planning, implementation, and execution of systems engineering activities; perform requirements development and System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) planning, technical reviews, and technical activities throughout program lifecycles; develop models of systems processes, simulations, analyses, and reporting supporting program decisions and enterprise-level strategic directives and initiatives; and prepare and present authoritative advice and recommendations to a variety of audiences including scientific professionals, non-technical senior leadership, and equipment end-users.
Salary : $130,000 - $175,000
