Internet Sales Director

Space City Toyota is seeking an experienced and results-driven Internet Sales Director to lead and enhance our internet sales operations. This multi-faceted role is responsible for overseeing and improving sales performance from internet leads, and working closely with the sales team to develop their skills and drive overall dealership performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealership operations, sales, a proven track record in internet lead management, and the ability to inspire and manage a team of sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Internet Lead Management : Oversee and manage the response, follow-up, and conversion of all internet leads to maximize sales opportunities. Ensure timely and effective communication with leads through various channels (email, phone, chat, etc.).
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the dealership's internet sales processes, focusing on conversion rates and customer satisfaction. Continuously evaluate and optimize lead generation efforts.
  • Team Development and Training : Provide training, coaching, and support to the sales team, focusing on improving their internet sales performance, product knowledge, and customer service skills. Foster a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
  • Performance Tracking : Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to internet sales, including lead appointment set rates, closing rates, sales volume, and average gross profit. Use data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Customer Satisfaction : Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining strong communication and providing an excellent experience from initial contact through vehicle delivery. Address and resolve any customer concerns or issues in a timely manner.

Utilize a strong background in new and used car sales to provide guidance on inventory management, pricing strategies, and customer needs. Work closely with the used car department to ensure the right vehicles are featured for online promotion and lead generation.

  • Collaboration : Work closely with the dealership's management team to align internet sales strategies with broader sales and marketing goals. Collaborate with marketing to ensure online promotions and inventory are accurately represented.
  • Lead Generation Strategy : Develop and execute strategies for generating new internet leads through various online platforms, third-party listings, social media, and the dealership's website.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience in internet sales management in the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of internet lead management, desking deals, and sales strategy.
  • In depth understanding of inventory, pricing and customer needs.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with a track record of training and motivating a sales team to achieve high performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to increase sales and close deals from internet leads, optimizing the sales process for maximum efficiency.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead by example.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with customers and team members.
  • Knowledge of dealership management systems, CRM platforms, and internet sales tools.
  • Results-driven with a focus on performance metrics and achieving sales goals.
  • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
  • A strong understanding of automotive finance and the desking process.
