Business Loan Advisor I Range:
$26.57 to $28.30 per hour
Purpose:
A commercial loan processor is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and verifying loan documents for commercial loan applications. This includes collecting and reviewing financial information and documentation, such as tax returns, credit reports, and bank statements, from the borrower. The processor also verifies that the information provided is accurate and complete, and that the loan meets the lender's underwriting guidelines. Additionally, the processor may work with the borrower and the lender to resolve any issues that arise during the loan process. They will also maintain records and file documents. The processor may also be responsible for communicating with the borrower and other parties throughout the loan process to ensure that everything is progressing smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Supports strong relationship building through on-going member contact, exceptional member service, and superior product knowledge. Answers telephone inquiries and written inquiries concerning loan processing, general loan related questions, and account information.
- Maintains new and existing loan files in accurate and organized manner.
- Receives new loan application files and ensures accuracy and completion of package per procedure guidelines and lending policy.
- Collects approval documentation for commercial loan requests and submits approval memorandums for signature.
- Prepares loan approval documentation and checklists and requests outstanding items from Credit Union’s Business Members.
- Coordinates with loan officers to review environmental and appraisal reports.
- Receives due diligence items requested and ensures files are accurate and complete prior to closing per procedure guidelines and lending policy.
- Coordinates all aspects of loan closings, including correspondence with attorneys, appraisers, and other outside professionals to ensure that deadlines are maintained.
- Facilitates and coordinates with loan officers and title companies with the pre-closing process and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Coordinates and sends loan documentation to Business Members for all non-real estate commercial loan closings.
- Assembles and verifies accuracy of post-closing loan documentation and performs post-closing new loan booking.
- Provides administrative support for the commercial portfolio management and periodic review process.
Requirements
Prior Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in retail banking or financial services back office functions required with 1-3 years of experience origination or processing loan applications.
Education and Training:
- Two year College or University diploma (Associate’s degree) in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience required.
Schedule:
Full Time during department hours of operation
Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Flex Scheduling and Work From Home Hybrid options available.
