- Manage the SCCU recruitment and selection process, staffing needs, and strategy, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Guide SCCU Leadership and Team Members on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure SCCU compensation, leave of absence and benefit program guidelines, policies and philosophies are comprehensively communicated and adhered to.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to maintain a positive and compliant work culture. Use data to provide actionable insights and recommend improvements to HR practices. Oversee maintenance and upkeep of SCCU Team Member Handbook.
- Lead workshops and training sessions on HR compliance, leadership development, and workplace skills.
- Handle and mediate resolutions for Team Member grievances and disciplinary actions following company policies and by partnering with Leaders.
- Conduct internal investigations to gather facts related to disputes, complaints, or claims.
- Manage compliance with local, state and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, recruiting goal/hiring trends (days to fill, service level agreements, etc.).
- Collaborate with HR Leadership Team on organizational development and HR strategies and trends for annual planning, continuous process improvement and project management.
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to SCCU Leadership teams across the organization.
- Promote continuous learning and professional development; mentor, develop and train HR Team Members as needed.
- Manage the SCCU Team Member Badge policy, system, audits and compliance.
- Responsible for capturing and recording HR budget information annually, including oversight of headcount budget controls throughout the year.
- Oversee HR administrative operations; office supplies, SCCU company shirts, Team Member employment files, company HR activities & events representation, access badges.
- Minimum 5-8 years of Human Resources experience with three (3) years as a progressive HR Leader required. Strong focus on full life cycle employment experience (recruiting, on/offboarding, & employee relations).
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in HR, Business Administration or Organization Development. SHRM-CP/SCP preferred.
- Deep understanding of HR best practices, legal compliance, and labor laws.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects proactively with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate, and manage time effectively with adequate/high quality follow-through.
- Proven track record of fostering a positive, team-oriented, and high-performing work environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships and business partnerships at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with HR metrics to inform decision-making.
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Occasional travel to Miramar, FL required.
