Information Systems Security Officer

Space Ground System Solutions (SGSS) is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with specialized experience in Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) duties, Special Access Programs (SAP), and SCI environments. This role will direct project support and augment government program management and security personal security, information security, and facility security activities. This position will aid corporate and government contractual agreements and governance, badge, building, and account access management. This will also include developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies related to information systems while also safeguarding classified/SAP/SCI environments, managing security clearance processes, and ensuring the security of physical assets.

Responsibilities include:

Information Systems Security:

• • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures for the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
  • Monitor and audit systems for compliance with security standards, ensuring that systems are protected against cyber threats.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration and continuous protection of networks, servers, and applications, with a focus on classified and sensitive data.
• Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) Duties:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and government security agencies concerning the security of classified or sensitive contractor programs.
  • Aid corporate in tracking DoD 8140 compliance with required training and certifications.
• Special Access Program (SAP) Management:
  • Manage SAP security requirements, ensuring that all information within special access programs is properly safeguarded.
  • Develop and enforce security plans, procedures, and guidelines for SAP environments, ensuring they meet all applicable regulatory and contractual obligations.
• Personnel Security:
  • Oversee personnel security clearance processes, including background checks and security vetting of employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Implement access control measures, such as badges, biometrics, and clearance-based security for employees and contractors.
• Physical Security:
  • Oversee physical security measures to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive areas, including the use of surveillance systems, alarms, and access controls.

Required qualifications:

• Current Security Clearance TS with ability to obtain and maintain SCI
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in information systems security, physical security, personnel security, or related roles.
• Previous experience as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and managing Special Access Programs (SAP).
• Deep knowledge of SAP, ITAR, NISPOM, FISMA, and other federal and industry-specific security regulations.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and CIS.
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security are required.

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Experience managing security for SAP-related environments, including secure document management and restricted access areas.
• Familiarity with government security clearances, personnel vetting processes, and contractor security requirements.
• Ability to design and execute security training programs for personnel working with classified or SAP-related materials
