Quality Final Inspector
Reports To:Quality Manager
Job Hours:- 7:00am-3:30pm shift, Mon-Fri
- Flexible to work extended hours as needed
The Quality Final Inspector inspects production assembly components that support the aerospace and defense industries. Duties include first article inspections, process verification, reporting inspection results, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:- None
- Perform Final Inspection
- Inspect finished products to ensure the conformance to customer requirements
- Identify non-conforming products and work with management to determine their disposition
- Create and maintain quality records of all inspections and tests performed
- Work closely with mentors in problem solving and help new team members develop their professional talent
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and adhere to high levels of safety by following company safety policies and regulations to prevent injuries
- Interact with Source inspectors
- Preparing data package.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Interpretation and application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong hand and eye coordination to perform precision work
- Confident in using mechanical measuring tools (electronic height gauge, caliper, gauge pins, etc.)
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to follow verbal directions and written procedures
- Computer knowledge – Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or university program certificate preferred
- 1-3 years of inspection experience, preferably within the aerospace manufacturing industry
- Experience with AS9100D quality system and NADCAP documentation
- Achieve performance/productivity goals
- Achieve deadlines (production, reporting)
- Achieve quality standards within acceptable limits
- Occasionally be required to push, pull and move objects up to 50 pounds
- Hearing, seeing ability to include depth perception, peripheral vision and rapid mental coordination
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work a in a mix of manufacturing facilities and office settings.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
