What are the responsibilities and job description for the Glasskeeper position at Space Needle?
Fun position in the sky, interacting with the Space Needle Guests from all over the world while keeping our glass clean! Excellent entry level position into our facilities department.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for upkeep, cleaning and maintenance of the various glass features of the Space Needle LLC.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Clean and inspect the glass window, barrier and floor panels in the Atmos levels of the Space Needle (accessible, indoor panels of glass only). Perform AM inspection of all panes of glass, Skyriser benches and rotating Loupe turntable. Inspect, clean and repair various pieces of Glasskeeping equipment throughout the facility.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Flexible with schedule and changes to duties, good guest service skills. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Basic knowledge (or willingness to learn) of glass cleaning and maintenance. Ability to support the installation of glass floor covers (carbon fiber and carpet). Must enjoy interacting with guests while preforming daily duties. Ability to effectively communicate using the English language.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, and reach with arms overhead for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Typical shift is approximately 8 hours.
Full Time, Hourly Position
Hourly Rate: $23.46 - $23.46 / hour
