SSI is seeking a Senior Satellite Systems Engineer to support our customer in Chantilly, VA.

SSI is seeking a Senior Satellite Systems Engineer to support our customer in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and analyze space systems, including satellites, launch vehicles, and ground support equipment
- Conduct trade studies to evaluate system performance and optimize design solutions
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define system requirements, interfaces, and specifications
- Plan and oversee system integration and testing to ensure compliance with project milestones
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system design, testing, and operational procedures
- Support mission operations and troubleshoot issues as they arise during launch and in-space operations
- Define organizational systems engineering processes, such as requirements or interface management
- Capable of largely operating independently in response to high-level guidance and direction from the Government
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Minimum of 10 years experience with satellite systems.
- Technical and analytic understanding of satellite and ground system interaction
- Experience in systems engineering
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
- TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Masters degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline
