As an R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and testing innovative mechanical systems and products. Your contributions will directly impact on the advancement of our product line and the company's strategic goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams, to bring concepts from ideation to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Create and refine mechanical designs for new and existing products using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Prototyping: Develop prototypes and oversee testing to ensure functionality, performance, and durability.
- Analysis: Conduct simulations, stress analyses, and performance evaluations to validate designs.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform and inspire new product development.
- Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, providing creative and effective solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to align designs with project requirements and timelines.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and documentation to support product development and compliance.
- Compliance: Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and certifications.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
· Proven experience in mechanical design, product development, or R&D.
· Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
· Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
· Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing methodologies.
· Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct FEA and CFD simulations.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in automation, robotics, or similar fields.
· Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
· Familiarity with programming or scripting for engineering tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
· Knowledge of additive manufacturing (3D printing) techniques.
