POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Manager is a goal-oriented, entry-level sales associate who is eager to advance their own career while supporting a team that has experienced unprecedented growth and strives to exceed our customers’ expectations. This role will work directly with our highly skilled Account Executives, Business Developers, Designers, Project Managers, and Installers to help ensure the sustainable growth of our team and support our customers. The Account Manager will learn competencies in commercial furniture concepts and trends, design process, sales methods, prospecting, relationship building and customer interfacing. The ideal candidate excels at making connections with their Spaces Group teammates, potential clients and our allies in the Architecture and Design Community while demonstrating the capabilities to rapidly advance their position on the sales team.
This position is based at our showroom in Memphis, TN and reports to the President.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Support
· Provide daily sales and customer support to the Sales and Leadership teams
· Schedule and attend (when appropriate) prospective meetings and assist sales and design teams with follow up action items
· Prepare account/project deliverables packages including presentations, finishes, budget quotations and other marketing materials
- Respond quickly and professionally to client’s needs while adhering to established procedures for conducting business as a representative of Spaces Group
- Meet with walk-in/call-in prospects and assigned accounts. Learn about their needs. Identify the product/ service solution and prepare quotations
- On a regular basis, meet with your Account Executive to review the status of each account, keeping AE informed of any problems or unresolved issues, changes in personnel, product standards, or competitive initiatives
- Prepare showroom for client visit, organize meeting agendas and ensure that hospitality is planned to create the desired customer experience
Lead Generation
· Identify potential clients from prospect lists, leads, established customers, referrals, or contacts developed through other sources
· Participate in professional networking opportunities
· Regularly market Spaces Group to the Architecture and Design community through scheduled visits, presentations, entertainment and collateral drop-offs
Goals Performance
· Develop a business plan for assigned, existing accounts and for identifying key prospect accounts/projects
· Set and meet quarterly and annual sales and margin goals as determined by sales management
· Provide timely reports on sales forecasts and new leads as required
· Document leads, wins and losses in company software
Professional Development
· Develop detailed understanding of company’s product lines—product features, application, technical capabilities, specifications and resources
· Learn and support the team but utilizing company software including (CAP, CET, CAD Reader, NetSuite)
· Develop and understanding of key market segments
· Demonstrate mastery of a consultative sales approach
· Actively participate in sales training, online continued product training, continuing education, networking events, and sales and company meetings
· Engage with the MillerKnoll resources and partner with open line manufacturing representatives
REQUIREMENTS
· 1 year of experience in an outside sales environment preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, design or related field
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
· Ability to read architectural documents preferred
· Dependable, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team
· Detail-oriented, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment at multiple levels
· Ability to prioritize and execute tasks
· Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
