As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring operational excellence, employee development, and driving sales growth.
Position Overview:
As the Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, from financial management and customer service to employee training and development. You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations, maintaining store culture, ensuring inventory management, and leading the sales team in meeting and exceeding sales goals. You’ll contribute to our mission of creating an inviting atmosphere where both customers and employees thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
Sales Leadership:
- Drive sales goals for new customer acquisition, accessory sales, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ensure store meets or exceeds daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
Customer Experience:
- Create an engaging and memorable customer experience by providing clear product demonstrations and helping customers find the best wireless solutions.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels and brand loyalty.
Team Development & Coaching:
- Mentor, coach, and guide the sales team to achieve performance goals.
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage professional growth by offering consistent feedback and training.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee daily operational checklists, cash management, security protocols, and inventory management.
- Ensure the store is always clean, organized, and in compliance with all company standards.
Inventory & Merchandising:
- Monitor product stock, manage inventory counts, and ensure compliance with merchandising standards.
- Oversee the ordering and receiving of products, while addressing any discrepancies in inventory.
Local Marketing & Brand Visibility:
- Lead community-based marketing efforts and participate in local events to raise brand awareness and drive customer traffic.
Budget & Financial Management:
- Support the Store Manager in managing store budgets and expenses, ensuring cost control while achieving sales targets.
Staffing & Recruitment:
- Assist with the hiring process, including reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
Weekend Availability:
- Must be available to work at least two weekends per month to support the store’s needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in retail management or a leadership role in a wireless environment is preferred.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish): Highly desired to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading a team to success.
- Leadership: Strong interpersonal and team-building skills to guide, motivate, and train your team.
- Customer-Centric: Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive store environment.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain store operations efficiently and in accordance with company policies.
- Availability: Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
