ARK VESSEL DECK OFFICER - 2ND / 3RD MATE (MARINE OPERATIONS)
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Sail in an Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (OICNW) capacity on board Falcon Ark recovery vessels Bob and Doug
- Watch standing, deck work, regulatory paperwork, navigation, log keeping, assisting the recovery team with flight hardware, leading deck crew
- Dynamic Positioning Officer (DPO) : Successfully operate and control SpaceX drone ships as directed in support of all offshore missions needs while on watch as the DPO in shore-based location at Cape Canaveral. Responsible for DPO setup checks, maintaining an accurate DPO activities logbook, report and log DP anomalies, and ensuring compliance with appropriate programs and standards
- Sustain an environment of safety that integrates DPOs, vessel crews, and recovery specialists
- Be flexible and willing to contribute in different areas of the Marine Operations department
- Always maintain professional demeanor and communication, especially during watch-standing duties
- Adopt and adhere to SpaceX procedures in coordination, collaboration and communication

Pay range :
Ark Vessel Deck Officer : $44,000 annual salary $650.00 per day worked
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations : job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
