MANUFACTURING ENGINEER - MACHINE SHOP AUTOMATION
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Create, develop, and deploy a high-tech, highly efficient automated machining environment utilizing Flexible Manufacturing Systems
- Develop new machining processes as necessary for existing and new products, including equipment specification, tool selection, fixture solutions, and ongoing process control
- Create Return of Investment analyses to support capital investment initiatives
- Drive production efficiency improvements, specifically robotics and automation, to reduce labor, component cost and maximize quality
- Integrate machinery with MES / ERP system to automate data transfer and streamline manufacturing processes
- Perform structured root cause analysis of in-process failures
- Maintain production documentation and procedures
- Perform training of production personnel, support staff, and leadership
- Sustain, review, and update established processes to sustain high performance and relevance to company goal
