SENIOR DIRECTOR – RELIABILITY ENGINEERING
OVERVIEW :
This position requires an experienced engineering leader and an established expert in reliability engineering of complex space systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Build and lead a team of Reliability Engineering experts to ensure high reliability requirements are met for Satellite constellation.
- Define reliability allocations across all components and sub-systems to meet overall system goals, and fault tolerance architecture.
- Drive implementation of probabilistic modeling techniques for overall system reliability predictions :
- Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis,
- Fault Tree Analysis (FTA),
- Reliability Block Diagram analysis (RBD),
- Single Event Upset / Multiple Bit Upset (SEU / MBU) analysis.
- Apply environmental predictions from mission operation simulations to reliability prediction models.
- Drive reliability analysis modeling throughout design / development process.
- Monte Carlo simulations for material, process, manufacturing, environment, usage variations.
- Implement performance testing / life test strategy (HALT / HASS, ESS, ALT, RGT) as appropriate to identify, find, and fix, design / process flaws.
- Provide critical input to risk management plan for satellite launch, deployment, and operations.
