THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS A BAKERY CHEF - PASTRY BAKER
As a Bakery Chef - Pastry Baker, you'll need to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. You'll thrive in our fast-paced kitchen and enjoy bringing your best to every shift.
In your role as a Bakery Chef - Pastry Baker, you will start your day by preparing a variety of baked goods, such as breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts, all following our recipes and presentation standards. You will also prepare tasty items like artisanal flatbreads, fresh salads, and handhelds, focusing on great flavor and beautiful presentation. Throughout the day, you'll have the chance to create and test new recipes that our customers will love. You will keep an eye on the ingredient inventory to ensure everything is fresh and high-quality. Working with suppliers will be part of your job to source the best ingredients while keeping costs in mind. You will make sure that all products meet our quality standards and supervise junior staff, teaching them about baking and food safety.
OUR IDEAL BAKERY CHEF - PASTRY BAKER
- 2 years of professional baking or pastry experience
- Experience preparing artisanal flatbreads and savory handhelds
- Proficiency with pastry preparation and savory culinary techniques
- Strong creativity with the ability to innovate and design visually appealing and flavorful dishes
- Attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork, leadership, and communication abilities
- Physical ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift heavy supplies
A culinary degree or specialized training in baking and pastry arts is preferred.
