Description
Interfaces with the Design Engineers to detail Designer System Conveyors and product handling components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists design engineers in the processing and preparation of jobs.
- Assists the Process Improvement Engineer by creating standard SOP documents.
- Learn the Estimator Software to gain an understanding of the standard Designer System components.
- Learn the Navigator Software to design basic customer layouts.
- Learn the Torque Master Software to confirm the Navigator Layouts are within Designer System specifications.
- Learn the Span Tech Software applications such as the Span Tech General Design Guidelines, Span Tech Conveyor Transfer Technology.
- Details Navigator special components as specified by the design engineers.
- Details Solid Works parts, creates CNC and Syteline Files, and prints all detail drawings.
- Develops an understanding of product and application design requirements.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the design principles and standards for the Design Detail 1 Level.

Education and/or Experience
- Associates degree from a two-year Community / Technical College or High School Area Technology Center Diploma in a CAD related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read documents.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts as it relates to technical design.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following programs: Microsoft Office Products, Solid Works or Solid Modeling Software, AutoCAD or equivalent Computer Aided Design and Drafting Software.
