STATUS: Full-time

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

PAY RATE: $75,000

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the Director of Programs will provide organizational leadership to ensure the agency’s initiatives, program outcomes, and community development goals are accomplished. This position will support and coach program supervisors, monitor delivery efficacy and compliance, and foster relationships with key partners. The Director of Programs will also be responsible for processes and capacity building to promote a collective culture of continuous improvement with an emphasis on consistent, quality and strategic impact.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage program logistics in accordance with the agency’s mission, vision and values
  • Oversee execution of grants, including compliance with requirements and reporting
  • Provide daily leadership, management, and mentorship for programs, ensuring they have clear direction, resources, and support to achieve their individual and team objectives
  • Generate and enact quality assurance procedures and guidelines; identify improvement opportunities through comprehensive and thorough audits
  • Identify strategies to integrate programmatic efforts and organizational objectives
  • Ensure staff engagement, communication and development at all levels of the organization
  • Monitor financial resources and manage program budgets
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with collaborative partners to create and facilitate innovative services and expand reach in geography and populations
  • Ensure the agency has broad and increasing knowledge of local assets and initiatives across services areasfor the purpose of addressing community needs
  • Develop and implement community engagement plan specific to families, community leadership and coalition-building for advocacy
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reports in compliance with state and agency mandates
  • Assist with proposals, applications, and reports on specified grants, as well as written materials and agency functions that support public relations and advertising of services and programs
  • Represent SCC in committees and task forces, as well as speaking engagements, conference panels and trainings, as appropriate
  • In collaboration with the Development Associate, deliver presentations highlighting the organization's programs, impact stories, and fundraising needs to potential donors.
  • Participate collaboratively in community activities, networking, and outreach events
  • Participate actively in opportunities for continuous professional development
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, applied behavioral science, or related field
  • 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting
  • Fluent in reading, writing and speaking in Spanish
  • Experience in implementing outcomes measurement systems
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team to achieve high expectations
  • Understands the importance of and adheres to high standards of service and integrity
  • High degree of cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively with families from diverse racial, socio-economic, ethnic and educational backgrounds
  • Knowledge and skill in working with families in crisis or in sensitive situations
  • Strong understanding of how to support team in distinguishing technical from adaptive solutions to challenges
  • Outstanding strategic thinking skills with a focus on results and impact
  • Must demonstrate flexibility in work settings; ability to work independently and collaboratively to accomplish goals and projects
  • Possess high degree of discretion, integrity and professionalism and accountability
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment when appropriate; strong decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated high quality interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday–Friday; 9am–5pm

Evenings and weekends as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
