Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of the Racquet Sports Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our racquet sports facilities, including tennis and pickleball courts. The Racquet Sports Professional will play a key role in enhancing the overall member experience by assisting with events, designing, planning, and implementing programs, and maintaining top-notch facilities. This successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule during the Summer Season.
Essential Functions:
Maintenance of Facilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and scheduling of tennis and pickleball courts.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of racquet sports facilities including stringing machines and ball machines.
Member Engagement:
- Foster a sense of community among racquet sports enthusiasts.
- Solicit feedback from members and implement improvements based on their input to achieve excellent guest satisfaction.
Controls:
- Have the knowledge necessary to give tennis or pickleball lessons.
- Enforces all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment and other property.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with racquet sports programs and facilities, teaching Tennis, and Pickleball lessons to adults and juniors of various levels.
- Proven track record of successful program development and implementation.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Certification in tennis and/or pickleball instruction is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Most tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy, and wet weather. Temperature can be extreme but is usually moderate. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to reach with arms and hands; bend and stoop; remain at post standing for extended periods of time; required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
