As a passionate and talented Preschool Director you will be tasked with delivering an exceptional student experience and lead a positive & caring team culture.
For 25 years, Spanish Schoolhouse has served preschoolers from ages 18 months to 5 years old offering a premium curriculum and language immersion experience. As a result, thousands of students have gained an accelerated start to elementary school, fluency in a second language, and an appreciation and understanding of the Latin culture.
As a PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR you get to:
- Create a warm and welcoming school environment for enrolled families, staff, and visitors
- Ensure our school operations are in compliance with all state/local regulations, SSH operating procedures, implementation of curriculum, and day-to-day management of the school
- Build a winning team by selecting and nurturing great talent.
- Support, direct, and encourage teachers, plan and coordinate special events, ensure curriculum is followed, and assist with classroom management
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with enrolled families, addressing parent questions and concerns
- Assist parents with registration and payments, give tours to prospective parents, respond to inquiries promptly and courteously
- Review lesson plans and provide curriculum updates/suggestions, set schedule for all special events, and attend leadership meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 12 college credit hours in child development, 6 college credit hours in management, and at least 1 year of experience in a licensed child-care center OR
- Two years of experience in a licensed child-care center AND college-level/advanced accreditation in child development
- MUST have excellent communication skills in Spanish, conversational English proficiency is necessary
- Strong leadership and team-building skills & experience
- Positive and encouraging approach to problem-solving
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for child development, language, and cultural understanding
