Job Description
About the role
The Planner at Spanx plays a crucial role in overseeing merchandise planning and inventory management. This position entails converting the merchant's vision into strategic plans that drive sales, inventory, and margin goals. Collaboration with various departments is essential to ensure alignment with consumer demand and the company's overall strategy.
This role is based in our Atlanta headquarters, requires weekly in-office work Tuesday-Thursday, and reports to the Manager, Merchandise Planning, Active & Lounge.

- Leverage your passion for numbers and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within sales and inventory data
- Utilize strong analytical skills and develop a deep understanding of sales trends, inventory management, and financial forecasting
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure inventory investments align with business objectives
- Maintain and update weekly and monthly sales plans and help identify key hits, misses, risks, and opportunities
- Assist in preparing business performance recaps and trend analyses for leadership
- Analyze sales productivity and collaborate on strategies to optimize inventory and sales potential
- Contribute to OTB forecasting by tracking trends, evaluating stock-to-sales ratios, and optimizing receipt flow
- Monitor and maintain OTB inventory levels to support sales plans
Qualifications
We require...
- 3 years in Merchandise Planning, Inventory Management, Allocation or Buying, preferably within Retail or Apparel
- Strong Excel & analytical skills required
- Demonstrated skills across different technology stacks
- Both a self-starter and team player with great energy and drive
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines and flexibility to handle various tasks
- Creative and strategic thinker who can identify opportunities for growth, and solutions to help achieve goals
- Ability to champion ideas and execute in an expedited time frame and to establish trust and maintain a collaborative spirit working cross-functionally in the organization
