Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of innovators and creators? We are looking for a dynamic Executive Director to serve as a primary leader of Spark!, formerly known as the Children’s Museum of Montana, as it moves into a new home and fundraises to make the location permanent. Working closely with the Board of Directors and the community, you will cultivate partnerships that enhance our programming and promote inclusivity.
As the leader of Spark, you will:
· Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan in alignment with Spark!’s mission, vision, values, and goals, in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
· Cultivate a culture of inclusion, innovation, creativity, collaboration, and excellence within the organization.
· Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for Spark! in the community, collaborate with community partners and participate in peer groups.
· Oversee the development and management of a sustainable annual budget.
· Monitor and report on financial performance to the Board of Directors, ensuring transparency and compliance.
· Oversee the drafting of annual reports and compliance documents.
· Hire and supervise quality staff and volunteers dedicated to the organization’s mission, vision, values and goals.
· Facilitate the creation and maintenance of educational exhibits, camps and other programming with a dedicated team of staff.
· Facilitate fundraising efforts, including campaigns, grants, sponsorships, and donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
· Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
· Ensure operational excellence across all programs, facilities, and services.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience in Business Administration, Museum Studies, Non-Profit Management or a related field.
· Four years experience in Non-Profit Management, Education or a related field.
· Excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with a team and build relationships with community partners.
· Proficient in technology and familiarity with point of sale systems and donor management systems.
· Experience with grant writing and fundraising.
· Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and interactive environment with children and families.
· Pass a background check.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
