Overview
We are looking for a talented finance leader to build and manage our finance department from the ground up. This pivotal role offers exceptional autonomy and the opportunity to impact the company's growth trajectory. The successful candidate will guide strategic financial planning, manage accounting operations, and collaborate closely with our leadership.
Duties
- Lead the establishment of a comprehensive financial management system.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, job profitability reports, Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, and cash flow forecasts.
- Implement and oversee internal financial controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with project management teams to optimize job costing and profitability.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Act as primary liaison with external auditors, banks, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop budgets and financial forecasts aligned with strategic business goals.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance financial systems for efficiency and accuracy.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead an effective accounting and finance team.
- Serve as a strategic financial advisor, providing insights and recommendations directly to the Board of Directors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA strongly preferred).
- Proven experience with financial management, particularly WIP reporting and job costing.
- Industry experience in construction, manufacturing, or similar project-driven sectors is beneficial.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar financial management software is advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, taxation, bonding, and risk management.
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting to executives and boards.
- Demonstrated success in leadership, team-building, and professional mentorship.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
