Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CPA Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to manage financial records accurately and efficiently. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid grasp of financial concepts, making it essential for maintaining the integrity of our financial operations.
Duties
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with legal teams on wills, trusts, and estate law matters as needed.
- Utilize accounting software for efficient data entry and reporting.
- Develop budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with financial plans.
- Mentor junior staff or clerks in accounting practices and procedures.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- CPA License
- Proven experience in accounting roles with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
- Proficiency in accounting software applications.
- Knowledge of account reconciliation processes and general ledger maintenance.
- Familiarity with wills, trusts, estate law is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective report writing.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
