Join our Summer Camp team for the chance to make meaningful changes in a child's life! Spark Learning Summer Camp welcomes campers ages 4-15 with autism, Asperger’s, PDD, ADHD, language delays, other related challenges, as well as typically developing children. Opportunities to work in a unique Summer Program for Teens are also available!
Summer Camp Therapists will use Applied Behavior Analysis to teach social skills, language, and behavior regulation strategies to campers in a low ratio, inclusive, therapeutic environment. As part of the Summer Camp team, Summer Camp Therapists will receive training on the implementation of individualized treatment programs and Behavior Intervention Plans under the supervision of experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
Compensation range is $16-17 for candidates who are new to ABA based on previous childcare experience and $17-19 candidates with prior ABA experience.

Qualifications
- Experience working with children with special needs (Experience working with children on the autism spectrum preferred)
- Comfortable working with children with special needs that demonstrate challenging behaviors
- Passion for working with children of all ages and abilities!
- Enthusiastic personality
- Ability to work in a supportive, fast-paced environment
- Patience and adaptability
Responsibilities
- Ensure children's basic and emotional needs are met
- Keep a group of children engaged in a variety of activities
- Manage and address challenging behaviors by following written behavior intervention plans
- Use applied behavior analysis to teach children a variety of skills
- Create opportunities for children to practice social and language skills during activities
- Take data on targeted skills and behaviors to track progress
- Create visuals and materials needed for activities in lesson plans
- Complete daily notes summarizing session activities and progress
Requirements
- Attend training Monday - Friday 8am-5pm the week of May 27th
- Work Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 1:00pm, June 2nd through August 8th
- 1 pre-planned vacation day will be approved over the 10-week period
- Physical ability to sit, stand, and play with children indoors and outdoors
- Must pass criminal background check and drug test
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
